You're invited to a fundraiser in support of Sarah Hempel Irani for City Council- District 5
Join sculptor and City Council candidate Sarah Hempel Irani in her studio, where she tells monumental stories in clay, stone, and bronze. Enjoy conversation, canapés, live music and a celebration of the arts in civic life. Louise Kennelly of the Frederick Arts Council will offer opening remarks, and local leaders and community members will gather in support of Sarah’s creative, collaborative vision for our city.
This event is a chance to gather and talk about how we can work together to ensure the continued vibrancy of Frederick’s arts community. Artists shape the soul of this city—but more and more, we’re being priced out. If we want Frederick to remain a place where creativity thrives, we need to make sure artists can afford to live and work here. That means making room for emerging artists, for those on the…
