About District 5

On February 20, 2025 the Frederick City Council voted to move forward with City Council representation via districts. "By having a dedicated representative who understands the concerns and priorities of each district, this vote aims to enhance fair representation for all neighborhoods and strengthen community engagement in local government." (City of Frederick)

District 5 includes the neighborhoods north and west of 15, East of Rosemont, and in the areas surrounding Clover Hill. Neighborhoods include: Villa Estates, Amber Meadows, College Estates, Antietam Village, Governor’s Choice, North Crossing, Clover Ridge, Tuscarora Creek, Cannon Bluff, Ft. Detrick, Whittier and Kellerton. We are a population of 16,059.

We are racially and economically diverse. We live in single family homes, townhouses, duplexes, apartments, and condos.

District  5 is represented by the following Neighborhood Advisory Councils: NAC 2, 1/2 of NAC 6 (my NAC), part of NAC 3, Northern Part of NAC 1
